Listening at Scale: What 108,000 Employees Taught Us About Return to Office

Join Audiem Co-founders Chris Moriarty and James Pinder as they share findings from one of the largest analyses of written workplace feedback undertaken to date.

Drawing on anonymised feedback from more than 108,000 employees, this live briefing explores what people are really saying about Return to Office, not because they were asked, but because it naturally emerged from hundreds of thousands of workplace conversations.

A different way of listening

Most research starts by asking people questions.

Ours began by listening.

Using Semantic Search, we analysed more than 215,000 written comments and uncovered over 430,000 workplace talking points. Instead of searching for words, we searched for meaning, allowing us to explore what employees collectively tell us, even when nobody asks them directly.

Return to Office was simply the first question we asked of that evidence.

What you’ll learn

During this 45-minute briefing we’ll explore:

  • Why employees talk about Return to Office, even when it isn’t the question being asked.
  • Why Return to Office is fundamentally a conversation about people and workplace experience.
  • The four biggest insights to emerge from our analysis.
  • A new framework for understanding workplace experience through the lens of expectation, sacrifice, experience and outcome.
  • What these findings mean for workplace leaders shaping hybrid work.
